Showings Set For The American Cinematheque's Egyptian Theatre and Laemmle Theatres' Sunset 5 starting February 13th, 2002.

Apollo Cinema has created a unique showcase that will give moviegoers the rare opportunity to see a collection of films shot in Cinemascope and projected anamorphically. Here, we have a group of fledgling filmmakers working in this powerful aspect ratio as opposed to the Akira Kurosawas and Michael Ciminos known for using widescreen to its maximum potential. Comedies, sci-fi, fantasy and drama are all represented in this thrilling format.

The showcase opens at the American Cinematheque's Egyptian Theatre on Wednesday, February 13th at 7:30 pm and continues the following holiday weekend, Saturday, February 16th, Sunday, February 17th, and Monday February 18th for 11:00 am screenings at the Laemmle Sunset 5.
