NEWS AND PRESS COVERAGE:

" 'It was pretty amazing to see when he [Don] came to Austin with Bill Plympton,' says Judge of "The Don and Bill Show," a touring festival of Hertzfeldt and Plympton's work. 'It was just Don and Bill's films. Nothing else. They barely advertised it. And it was sold out every night. And they turned away at least as many as they sold. The audience was shouting out the lines to Don's cartoons before they came on - like at the Rocky Horror Picture Show. There haven't been that many independent animators who have connected with audiences in a big way, and usually when they do, if the studio is smart, they recognize that. They usually want to have the animator's vision preserved.' "
-Mike Judge, creator of Beavis & Butthead and King of the Hill, quoted in the Los Angeles New Times (Feb 28 - March 6, 2002)
