As the Director of Acquisitions it is Asher Goldstein’s duty to scout and distinguish promising films from around the globe. In addition to this role, he is also responsible for filmmaker relations, acts as a festival liaison, and is always on the hunt for new markets and outlets for Apollo to distribute its shorts. He is committed to assisting filmmakers in getting their work out to the public and supplying Apollo’s buyers with the fresh, unadulterated product that a quality short film can be.

Prior to joining Apollo Cinema, Asher wrote, directed, and produced several shorts himself, bringing his filmmaker’s eye to his job whenever considering a film for distribution. He has also worked in casting and on several feature film and television productions.

Asher graduated with Honors from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts with a B.F.A. in Film/Television Production.
